Gurudwara Paonta Sahib Ji

This historic shrine marks the spot where Guru Gobind Singh Ji stayed for over four years and penned the Dasam Granth. As the most significant landmark near the hotel, it features a museum displaying the Guru’s personal weapons and pens, as well as the Shri Talab Asthan where salaries were once distributed. The atmosphere is deeply meditative, with devotional songs and a community kitchen (langar) that serves meals to all visitors.

Assan Barrage Bird Sanctuary

A must-visit for nature lovers, this man-made wetland at the confluence of the Yamuna and Assan rivers is a haven for migratory birds. Visitors between October and March can spot species like Bar-headed Geese and Northern Pintails. The area, also known as Assan Lake, offers recreational activities such as boating, rowing, and paddling, making it a perfect picnic destination.

Renuka Lake & Temple

Renuka Lake is the largest natural lake in Himachal Pradesh and is shaped like a reclining woman. It is considered highly sacred, as it is believed to be the embodiment of Goddess Renuka, mother of Lord Parshuram. Visitors can enjoy boating on the serene waters or visit the Renuka Wildlife Sanctuary surrounding the lake.

Chehni Kothi

Chehni Kothi is an ancient tower built in traditional Kathkuni architectural style using wood and stone. Standing tall in the Chehni village, this historical structure reflects the rich heritage and craftsmanship of the Himalayan region. The short trek to the village offers stunning valley views and a glimpse into the local culture.

Renuka Lake

located about 60 km from Paonta Sahib, is the largest natural freshwater lake in Himachal Pradesh and a sacred destination of immense cultural and natural beauty. Perched at an altitude of 672 m, the lake is uniquely shaped like the profile of a reclining woman, which is believed to be the physical embodiment of the Goddess Renuka.

Simbalbara National Park

Also known as Col. Sher Jung National Park, this sanctuary is nestled in the Shivalik foothills and features dense Sal forests. It is a peaceful, less-crowded retreat where you can spot wildlife such as Sambhar, Spotted Deer, and Goral. Birdwatchers frequently visit to see over 200 species, including the Red Jungle Fowl.
